Phone Phobia Guy Part II.

‘Phone phobia’ guy continues to have an aversion to actually using the phone.
For anyone new to this blog please read more here.
I knew ‘phone phobia’ guy would be a long drawn out one. So far he’s yet to prove me wrong.
To date he’s send four texts and five Instant Messages via Whatsapp (a Smartphone app.)   Yesterday he wrote another message via Whatsapp.
Here’s his message:

He’s seems to be waiting for permission to call.  Naturally I won’t give it.  Mainly because there's no guarantee that I'll be around to take his call.  I may not hear the phone.  I may be out or he may call too late.  Who knows.  There really are an infinite amount of variables.
He may or may not leave a voicemail. My guess is  he won't.  What he'll  probably do is send another text saying that he called.   Which means getting into this whole phone/text tag scenario which trust me is very exhausting and frustrating.   Since he doesn’t ask permission when sending texts or Instant Messages (which are just as intrusive) then I don't see why the phone is any different.
Furthermore in my experience the interested ones usually just call.  They’re a little nervous which is always endearing but they really don’t mess around.
I recall 'day job' guy  and  'come back' guy both having similar issues with the phone.   They would text plenty and it transpired both had other agenda’s.   As a reminder ‘day job’ guy was only interested in free consultancy for his chauffeur business.  And ‘come back’ guy confessed to not wanting anything serious.  Both became an instant ‘next.'  I think ‘phone phobia' guy will soon be joining them.
In hindsight downloading Whatsapp was a mistake. The app isn’t permission based which means anyone with your number can automatically start Instant Messaging you. They can see you’re online and can start writing messages.  The app also has this very annoying feature of highlighting when you were last online. I didn’t realise any of this when first downloading the app.
The Rules, dating and Whatsapp naturally don’t mix, as such I’ve just removed the app from my phone.  Wonder what phone phobia guy will do now?  My guess is that he’ll probably start texting or he may just grow tired and exit organically.
As always over to him.
